Gees, its only a 2 MIP machine, going downhill with the wind at its back. The first few (alpha, beta and FCS) versions of NeWS did not include a very good terminal emulator. It was a long time problem getting Sun to produce a usable terminal emulator (psterm, the Postscript terminal emulator written by Steve Isaacs, was never intended to be production quality. I'm not making excuses for Sun, but either a decent terminal emulator should have been written, or Sun should have released psterm under a "UnderConstruction" directory). There are several decent ones in the public domain that you could scarf up on the net (or from the latest Sun User Group tape). OW 2.0 does include a new and improved psterm, but more importantly, you could use good 'ole xterm, since OW 2.0 uses a merged X and NeWS server. This is what I do.
