Subject: xterm VT and Tek mode switching

Is it a way that one can send Tek graphic output to Tek window directly 
from VT mode? For example, when using "mongo" it is quite desirable that
one types text in VT window while sends graphic to Tek window. I know
many terminal emulator can detect Tek output and switch to Tek automatically.
