Message-ID: <821@redford.UUCP> Date: 10 Sep 90 20:44:59 GMT Reply-To: bill@redford.UUCP (Bill Poitras) Organization: Polygen Corporation, Waltham, MA Lines: 22 I have just compiled X11R4 on a Sun-3 under SunOS 4.1. It has been installed properly and it runs fine. When I was compiling xdbx 2.1 I found two very annoying things that I didn't know how to fix. 1) imake is looking for Imake.template. There is no such file. There is an Imake.tmpl file. Judging from the X distribution, Imake.tmpl should be the file Imake looks for. Since I have my IMAKEINCLUDE environment variable set, there should be no problem. What is supposed to go into Imake.template? 2) When I kludge the above problem by coping the file Imake.tmpl into Imake.template, I get another problem. The Makefile can't find libXext.a, which does exist. When I get the settings of the variables when make executes, USRLIBDIR is set to /usr/lib, while in my site.def file UsrLibDir (which should set USRLIBDIR) is set to /usr/local/lib. WHAT AM I DOING WRONG!!! Why won't imake work for me? Please let me know. +-----------------+---------------------------+-----------------------------+ | Bill Poitras | Polygen Corporation | {princeton mit-eddie | | (bill) | Waltham, MA USA | bu sunne}!polygen!bill | | | | bill@polygen.com | +-----------------+---------------------------+-----------------------------+
