Yes, I am interested in the Bay Area X User's group. I started an X windows users group here at Lawrence Livermore National Labs in Livermore and have had a half dozen monthly meetings or so. We get about 20 to 30 people attending. 2. I would like to see an electronic newsletter contain info about talks, conferences, etc. specific to the Bay Area. 3. No, I don't think we should include other window systems. 4. Yes, let's have separate SIG's. 6. Mtn View is not real convenient for me since I live in Pleasanton and work in Livermore. How about scheduling the meetings at various places around the Bay Area? Or maybe organizing a South Bay Area and a North Bay Area X group? I would be glad to help out, but I don't want to be in charge :-) (Actually, I'm going to be moving to Hayward at the end of this month, then going to Hawaii for three weeks in November, and then there's Xmas so I pretty much won't be able to do anything for the rest of the year :-( ) jeremy uejio@lll-crg.llnl.gov
