The accepted protocols are TCP/IP and DECNET; we have no problem with TCP/IP, but for DECNET , the problem is the routing between the differents areas. From the CISCO Router's documentation, we have think at this solution. <-------------------------> Ethernet Cable I I ------------ I CISCO I Router with Module DECNET Area Router ------------ 54.* I - - - French Telecom Optic Fiber - ( not on own responsability) - - ------------ I CISCO I Router with Module DECNET Area Router ------------ 59.* I <-------------------------> Ethernet Cable Is't this solution available with CISCO Routers ( DECNET Phase IV ) ? And in the future, what's happens in DECNET Phase V ? Thnaks for all suggestions and remarks. BARTHELEMY Alain Institut Laue Langevin (Grenoble- France)
