More like a reponse to AT&T empty advertising. AT&T's audio quality is no where near US Sprint's. Their customer service isn't any better than Sprint's either. Back before the big breakup, I can see how there would be an advantage to AT&T service, since they were closely in touch with the local companies. But this isn't the case any more. Having been using US Sprint from home (while still having AT&T at work) since before US Telecom and GTE Sprint merged, I can honestly say that their fiber optic network is second to none. If you make long distance modem calls often, you can't beat US Sprint's quality. It's nice to have zero retries no matter where you're calling.
