I remember a while ago reading someone reporting a problem that Emacs
modeline displays the string "time and load" instead of the real time. Too
bad I didn't pay much attention then - now I have the same problem. I
couldn't find the archive of this group, so could somebody help me (on the
problem or archive site) please ?

BTW, it's GNU Emacs 18.55 on Apollo DN4500 and loadst runs well by itself.
