FRACTINT meets 1. and 2. if you don't mind the overkill of using a big
program for a small purpose! Downside is that the GIF decoder function is
slower than Cshow. You didn't say what should happen after the image is
displayed on the screen. You should add "askvideo=no" to the command line
or the sstools.ini file and make sure you have created the fractint.cfg 
file to avoid interactive prompts.
