Check for a price on upgrading the Turbo Debugger/Assembler package alone. The upgrade will include the profiler. Improvements in the debugger may make it worthwhile by themselves. I don't use the assembler for code creation and haven't yet used the profiler, so I can't comment knowingly on them. The debugger's support for mouse-like devices is very good and there is now a 286 protected mode version. It also supports C++. Overall, the debugger seems faster, more graceful and more robust, altho my report is highly subjective and I can't prove improvements in those areas. :) Note: I have seen the profiler demoed, and it appeared well integrated into the system. When I again need a profiler, I will certainly give it a try in preference to my previous tool, Turbo Power's profiler from Turbo Analyst. +-------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Karl Brendel Centers for Disease Control | | CDCKAB@EMUVM1.BITNET Epidemiology Program Office | | InterLink/RIME: KARL BRENDEL Atlanta, GA | | GEnie: K.BRENDEL phone 404/639-2709 | | fts 236-2709 | | Home of Epi Info 5.0 | +-------------------------------------------------------------------------+
