I am currently doing research into the use of CAD output to use in building
models for model-based diagnosis (see also companion posting).
For this I need some information on the current standards in CAD.
- Where can I get information on the CAD "standards", like EDIF, VHDL and IGES?
- What is the current status of these standards, and are there any more 
  currently used or under development?
