I'm trying to write an infoserver which would respond to
incoming mail based on substrings within the Subject field.

I think I can fashion one out of the vacation program (the kind
that replies "I'm on vacation now, but I can reply as soon as I return etc..."
program. 

I hear there is a way to pipe incoming mail to a routine of your choice.
What is the proper syntax for doing this on a VAX 8810 running Ultrix-32
V3.1 ?
I can then use awk to extract the info I need.
