We are currently running a data flow architecture project and have to
design several software packages like machine simulators, compilers,
assemblers and the like. In the case of a redesign of the architecture
we have to redesign most of the support software, too. I plan to make
all the software based on a hardware description language, as, e.g.,
the GNU C compiler is based on RTL, if I find one satisfying the
demands of our dataflow architecture.

Any help (including references to books or articles) is appreciated.
