Could someone be so good as to point me in the right direction for getting
hold of nptd/xntpd source code?  I assume it must be available for anonymous
FTP somewhere, right?

I'd like to use it to synchronize our DECstations with Ultrix 3.1 -- and I
believe there's a nearby time server that I'd be allowed to use to synch
us to the actual, correct time, making it even more interesting!  :-)
