Do you mean the lack of type checking? I don't see this as a terrible sin, since it doesn't actually decrease useful functionality. Sure, I wish my C compiler did more type checking, but not enough to go back to Pascal. Anyway most recent compilers have the option of type checking program parameters through function prototypes.
