Then if I were you I would recheck things out.

I use regular bond paper intended for use inplain-paper copy machines and
laser printers.

I regularly compare the print quality of my DeskJet (original) and
HPLaserJet (various models). While I will say the comparison is mostly
normal text, I have compared a few graphics things also.

I find the difference almost nil.
