How about shuting off your engines at around 30000 feet then once you've slowed
To around 100-150 kts go into a vertical dive.  Your speed will increase to 
Around 600-700 kts.  You can then climb back to an altitude above the one where 
you cut your engines!!  You can fly forever without any fuel.  How's that for a
Glide ratio.
