You need a special interface. You can buy it for 10$, or make it yourself: Here is the schema, posted a few months ago in c.s.a: REM: this interface is standard and works with GAUNTLET 2, INTERNATIONAL SOCCER, KICK-OFF 2, TV-SPORT BASKETBALL, PROJECTYLE, TIE-BREAK, HOT-RODS, and all the more-than-two-players arcade games... By the way, the best multi-players games are TV-SPORT BASKET, TIE-BREAK and PROJECTYLE. KICK-OFF 2 is not good with 4 players, and Hot rods is a bad game. _____________________________________________________________________________ _Gangster______________________________________________________Feb. 19, 1989_ _Corrections by Oosik Man______________________________________Feb. 25, 1989_ Gauntlet II is one of the first games on the Amiga that will allow up to four people play at one time. The only drawback to this is that you must purchase a adaptor plug for the parallel port for the third and fourth players to use. These instructions will allow you to build your own with very few parts and relatively little money. This hack is in two parts. One for the 500 and 2000 only, the other for the 1000. Parts list: (All of these are available at Radio Shack) ----- ----- 1 DB25 Male (500/2000 Version) 1 DB25 Female (1000 Version) 2 Male D 9 pin joystick connectors 6ft Wire (In 5" sections) Some type of box to put the entire mess in. Connect it all together, check it then plug it in! Add two joysticks then press [F3] & [F4] to control the two characters on the screen. Have fun!!!! ** Gangster ** I updated the directions when upon looking at my 1000 owners manual I noticed that the Parallel connecter has som pinout differences including the plus 5 volts! So I added the info. for the 1000. I still have not tried this so I will make no promises. ** Oosik Man ** ------------------------------------------ Michel Buffa: Projet Robotvis, INRIA, France Internet: buffa@sardaigne.inria.fr Surface Mail: Michel BUFFA, INRIA - Sophia Antipolis, 2004, route des Lucioles, 06565 Valbonne Cedex -- FRANCE Voice phone: (33) 93.65.78.39, Fax: (33) 93 65 77 65 ------------------------------------------
