The "cheat" I was referring to does NOT permit any sort of software copying. It is (I take it) a program that alters the game while it is in RAM, giving the player infinite lives (or something like that). It isn't illegal, to the best of my knowledge, to alter any software that one owns. My understanding is that this "cheat" is a public domain program, freely distributable. The "copies" of the game I referred to were, of course, legally purchased. I have no interest in stealing. If I am wrong about the legality of such a "cheat", my apologies to the net. If not, I still need help with this game!
