AWGS 1.1 loads about six times faster (with the system updgrade. seriously), it has MANY fewer bugs, (I haven't crashed it in months), and is much better about using memory. AppleWorks 3.0 is text-based and runs on 1 3.5 disk, basically. You might still need a data disk. I prefer AWGS because it is WYSYWIG, and with the upgrade, it is a really solid package.
