You've pointed out the key reason why Apple, Inc may fall on it's face over Apple ][ sales in the future: People don't know about it's availablility or support. In November, the largest computer trade show held in the world, Comdex, will be held in Los Vegas. Over 300,000 people are expected to attend based on prior attendance figures. Will Apple be there? If they are there, will they be marketing Apple ]['s and peripherals? Will Claris be there? Will they be marketing Apple ][ software? Will third party hardware and software developers for the Apple ][ be there? If the answer to the above questions are "no, why should we? It's an IBM based trade show" then you all know why the Apple ][ is a dead horse, white elephant or whatever. It will have no future without an active marketing campaign and participation by Apple, Inc.
