I have tried some version of Disk Doctor, but - although it found the missing files, it did not appear to restore - them. - - Thes files are not on the top level. As long as you don't write to the drive after you've deleted the file, you should be able to recover it, also as long as it was only one file. Multiple files are more difficult, if possible. With Disk Doctor, you can choose the directory you want to recover the file from, as well as the root directory.
