I managed to botch the id and signature on my first attempt, so here it
goes again. I would appreciate replies my email.

We have an IBM EGA monitor, which after a couple months of
threats finally quit. We sent it in for service, and got back
the note:

"ibm can't repair, sealed  L.V. unit and no high speed transistors"

Should I believe this and just pitch the monitor, or are there
more resourceful repair facilities that might salvage something
from it.
