Recently I tried to download some sharewares to my pc because I need a
pc-based tex program like emtex or sbtex and a driver for HP laserjet
III for a project.  I ftped some sharewares from several sites
like terminator.cc.umich.edu and ymir.claremont.edu to this unix
system and used ms-kermit to download to my pc. However, either the
un-achiving software nor the *.arc work (I have a arce.com 1986).
I tried to ftp using ASCII and binary type, but still something wrong which I cannot figure out. 
Your pointers are greatly appreciated.
