Message-ID: <5560.26f12e5d@vax5.cit.cornell.edu> Date: 14 Sep 90 23:24:13 GMT Distribution: comp Lines: 23 I received 3 responces to my request about adapting a UniDisk (for the Apple // series) to work on a Mac. The first respondee, David Zinkin, quoted the September 1987 issue of MacUser which basically said that I needed to disconnect the the cable from the controller card (the controller card makes this drive fit only for the // series) and reconnect the cable to the drive itself. A second poster mentioned the same article AND included a diagram... I can't credit him because I "lost" his mail file. The third and last poster said "Sell it. Forget it. It'll never work." Last night after about 2 panicked hours I opened the housing, removed many screws, wondered how I was EVER gonna' put it all back together, disconnected and connected as suggested, re-screwed everything, attached it to my Plus, and whatdyaknow? It works! Even works as a boot drive. So thanks, folks, for your willingness to lend a suggestion. What a great source of information we have in this forum!
