This of course has impact on how much vacant space is left over at the end of a file; this is insignificant if you have large files but costly if you have many small files. Anyone know what the thresholds are, or how one can figure block size based on partition size? email and I'll forward to inquiring minds, if more than ten inquire I'll post.
