I hope it's ok to plug user's groups here.  While there are several commercial
 
and user's group PD disk distributers, IMHO AMUG (Arizona Macintosh Users 
Group)
has the best disk by mail program going.  If you order the "Best Of" disks you
 
get only PD and shareware that has proven to be popular with the group.  The
Best DA Disk II has a nice ascii editor.  Send a check or money order for 
$3.00
to AMUG Disk Library, C/O Tom Deasey,7019 E. Palm Ln. #2, Scottsdale, AZ 
85257.
BTW Apple's own Edit is a pretty nice ASCII editor and it's freeware.  You 
should
be able to find it around.

The Mac version of PC Anywhere is one program that will let you run a PC 
remotely
from a Mac.  There are probably others.
