Files are losing their applications. When I open a folder full of MacWrite or files, they show up as "document." If I click on the file, it gives me the "application not found" message. If, however, I open the application I can open the file with no problem. In addition, all the other files in that window suddenly remember where they came from (until I close the window and open it again). I haven't lost any data, but the amusement value is starting to wear off and I'd like to make it go away. As usual, the systems area at work is totally without a clue as to what the problem could be. Help??? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Cheers, Chris p.s. already tried rebuilding the Desktop...no dice. ------------------------------+--------------------------- Chris Mauritz |D{r det finns en |l, finns cmm1@cunixa.cc.columbia.edu |det en plan!
