I'm trying to use an old ITT Internal Tape Drive (60meg). The controller and drive fits fine into my PC, and I can access it okay using 4.01 Dos (but it doesn't work with 3.3 Dos). I can use the tape software (QIC.EXE) that comes with it, but the only things I can do is tape utilities, such as erasing the tape. Every time I try to BACKUP my hard disk C:, I get a read/write tape error (8088) or the like. I can't figure it out. I KNOW the tape if fine, tried it on another drive unit and works fine. Any help on this would be appreciated very much. Rob Gasser University of Toledo
