We have a Sun 4/390 running 4.1, which is currently running as delivered.
I'd like to install the new libc.so shared library to allow nameserver
lookup, but I'm a bit worried that it may not work, and thereby kill the
machine. 

Does anybody have a 4/390 running 4.1 on which they have installed one of
the home-grown shared libraries ? Does it still work ?
