We have tried to compile ditroff/DWB (from an AT&T tape dated June 1982)
on our SPARCstations running SunOS 4.1, but have not been very successful.

Several of the binaries dump core, probably due to NULL pointer
dereferencing.

Any suggestions? How about diffs from someone who has already figured out
what's wrong? Even if they are not for exactly the same release/version we
have, they might help us fix our source.
