Has anyone dealt with equations of the form;

    f(t).x'' + g(t).x' + x = 0  

where x' can be with repect to time or distance ?

I would appreciate references and/or suggested approaches.
I have to access to Maple if it can be used in any way.

By the way f(t) and g(t) are well behaved.
