Message-ID: <4673@latvax8.lat.oz> Date: 18 Sep 90 08:55:40 GMT Organization: VAX Cluster, Computer Centre, La Trobe University Lines: 22 Does anyone know of a batch job manager, either public domain or third party? We have purchased three IBM 6000 AIX machines to mainly run computationally expensive research jobs, mostly in batch. These jobs and their users will be coming from a VMS environment where "SUBMIT" is pretty user friendly, and its fairly easy to manage priorities, etc. Any info would be greatly appreciated as we anticipate its going to be fairly difficult to convince some of the users of the benefits of moving to the faster machines when they aren't used to UNIX. As an aside, has anyone had experiences with coaxing users from one environment to another? Did you find computer based training useful, or classes or one-to-one help best? Thanks.
