While printing a long document using Word for Windows the screen would blank (screenpeace) and it would stop printing. I'd try getting a newer version of Windows (I may have been running 3.0, it was a while ago, but I can't remember), a newer version of screenpeace, or get rid of screenpeace and turn your monitor off/dim it when leaving it alone.
