Has anybody got Xps running on either an HP9000/360 running HP/UX6.5
  (with R4 libs and server), or a Sparcstation1+ with SUNOS4.1
  (again with R4).

I've compiled it for both environments, and they both dump core
  in slightly different places.  They both bomb out fairly early
  in initialization, although in different subroutines.
