I thought that this is it which was suggested in the reply to my previous posting about event handling other than event loop. But, but I could not find any description in either Adrian Nye's manual or DECwindows document set. I guess this intrinsic sets AST to display connection if using VMS, or other async mechanism if using UNIX. In fact, I have tried this intrinsic using VAX/VMS V5.3 on VS3100, and it worked as I expected except passing AST-parameter. Are there any datailed information or descriptions about this routine ? Or, are there any other Xt routines recommended to set AST mechanism on VAX/VMS ( no event flag ;-) triggered by the availability of the X event ? I want to handle X events really asynchronously.
