I'll be doing the same thing that month as well. The hard thing for me will be adjusting to the command differences between Seeing Eye and Guide Dogs. Guide Dogs users use their left foot on the down curb and their right hand for leash corrections while dropping the harness handle. I know what you mean about keeping the old dog. I am struggling with that myself and have determined the only dog to get jealous will be my wife's dog.
