I have no idea why John was so insistent ]on bringing the whole mathematical details up when the original questions - ]"what is a superheterodyne, and what is heterodyning?" were more than ]adequately answered by some simple, short, practical responses, at least on Very simple, Bob. The only answer I saw at the time I saw the post was a bizzarre and complex thing about multiplication. I was trying to give a simple explanation (the trig one), with more details for those who were interested. ]the level apparently intended by the original questioner. Perhaps John simply ]enjoys posting mathematical minutiae for us to gaze at. He IS correct - but ]then, on a practical level, so are those who simply said "Look, it's just ](1 + sin (A)) times sin B, OK?" There was NO NEED to bring all of this Hey, Bob - that's essentially what I said, until it was challenged! -- John Moore HAM:NJ7E/CAP:T-Bird 381 {ames!ncar!noao!asuvax, mcdphx}!anasaz!john USnail: 7525 Clearwater Pkwy, Scottsdale,AZ 85253 anasaz!john@asuvax.eas.asu.edu Voice: (602) 951-9326 Wishful Thinking: Long palladium, Short Petroleum Opinion: Support ALL of the bill of rights, INCLUDING the 2nd amendment!
