Could anyone tell me where to get a schematic for a BATTERY powered laser supply? (or email, whatever.) I would want this to run a typical 2(or so)mw HeNe red visible laser tube. Apologies if this has been discussed, I just started reading this group. Also, in the 'next month' column of 9/90 Radio Electronics, they mentioned that they were going to have a article about building a battery powered visible semiconductor laser. However, these require a lens, no? and what kind of power and beam divergence can you expect to get out of these with a semi-inexpensive lens? Thanks, Jim elwood@cville.umd.edu -- Jim Bogard oper014@umuc.umd.edu jimbo@socrates.umd.edu elwood@cscwam.umd.edu disclaimer? I think UM has bigger things to worry about than my opinions.
