The OCI includes the funtion OERMSG that is supposed to return the error message text corresponding to a return code (first arg of OERMSG) into a message buffer (second arg of OERMSG). Unfortunately, OERMSG doesn't put anything into the buffer. I was told by Oracle technical support that this is a bug in the implementation that also exists in version 1.2 of Oracle for the Mac. They will fix it, but don't know when this will happen. Can anybody suggest a fix or workaround?
