Watson Research Center Lines: 33 -- Hello everybody, I'm using Epoch, and I'm trying to use different fonts with it (since it allows you to change the font on the fly). I have MF sources of the fonts I want to use, and "mftobdf" and "bdftosnf" also. My problem is: those fonts are variable-size (but of course - otherwise what good would they be for typesetting? :-). But to use it with Epoch (and xterm and so on) I need them to be fixed-size. Question: can somebody either tell me whether such a tool is available, which would convert var-size font to fixed-size; or - how I can do it (at any step - from MF to BDF, or BDF file, or to patch SNF binary?). Thank you for your help. Please e-mail responses, or post them, e-mailing the copy to me (I don't read this group too often). As you've guessed - I know almost nothing about BDF format, or MF - so please asnwer, keeping in mind my level (:-).
