First I would like to thank all the people who sent me references on the Platonic solids. They were a fantastic help. Now I need to know something else ; How does one use NURBS? I have done some spline programming so hopefully I will be able to understand the math involved. How does one go about creating the shape that they want using NURBS surfaces or even NURBS curves? If I have a shape that I want to reproduce, how do I do it? What kind of data do I need? Ideally, someone out there has used NURBS surfaces on graPHIGS (IBM's version of PHIGS with extensions) and could give me a few pointers. I would be perfectly happy, however, with some pointers to the literature on NURBS surfaces and curves (especially surfaces). Once again, I would like to thank those of you who responded to my previous postings. And hopefully, I can be of some help to you someday.
