Ghostscript 2.0 has a driver for 

#	laserjet  H-P LaserJet   [MS-DOS only]

I want to it to run on Unix also.

Has anyone already ported this driver to Unix?

If not, having never written device drivers, I would like to know what
size task I am getting into if I should attempt it.

The ghostscript release also mentions:

# ###	paintjet  H-P PaintJet color printer [Unix, tested on SunOS only]
# ###	  (NOT INCLUDED IN THIS RELEASE)

The doc says it works but needs "to be integrated."  Has anyone already
done this?
