Keywords: HDB UUCP CALLBACK Message-ID: <182@maximus.UUCP> Date: 19 Sep 90 20:02:31 GMT Distribution: usa Organization: MAXIM Technologies Inc., Vienna VA Lines: 23 Having just brought up an HDB uucp, I'm seeing strange/stupid behavior when I try to use the CALLBACK option for a particular site's Permissions: Uxxx xxx (9/19-14:34:58,6506,0) REQUIRED (CALLBACK) uucp xxx (9/19-14:34:59,6517,0) FAILED (generic open) The uucico log fragment above *seems* to show that my system tried to honor the CALLBACK request 1 second after receiving it... I don't think that uucico can clear down off the line that fast, let alone the modem or telco session. Thus uucico finds the line "busy" and fails. A sincere re-reading of TFM did not provide any info on any knob remotely resembling a "CALLBACK DELAY FACTOR". Any inspired help or guesses to me via E-mail appreciated.
