Augustin) Organization: Computer Science Department, Stanford University Lines: 15 The SunOS 4.0.3 UUCP seems to truncate the hostname of a machine to 7 characters to get the uucp name. The Sun UUCP installation guide also says to make sure that your hostname is less than 8 characters. There must be a fix for this. I seem to recall reading in the UUCP documentation somewhere a way around this problem. (It may have been the docs for something other than a Sun.) But I can't seem to find the reference. I'd like to avoid changing my 9-character host name. any suggestions would be appreciated. Larry M.
