	I am looking for recommendations/hints/etc. as to what devices
are available for RS-232-to-MIDI conversion on a Sun 3/110
(non-real-time) Unix machine.  The situation is this:

1. Although we are using a Sun 3/110 at the moment, it may be replaced
   with a SparcStation in the next few months.  An interface that
   could be used on both machines (e.g.  RS-232-to-MIDI) is greatly
   preferred.

2. A buffer would seem to be necessary.  I don't know if the bps rate
   on the Sun's RS-232 port can be set for the 31.25 kHz, but I do know
   that it is plain vanilla Unix without any process pre-emption or any
   of those real-time goodies, so built-in buffering would seem to be
   a must.  Can someone speak from experience and tell what life with
   MIDI <--> Unix is like?

3. What sound cards (A/D + D/A) exist for the Sun 3/110?  If the MIDI
   installation goes well, this will be the next thing.
