Message-ID: <1990Sep26.203140.29403@watserv1.waterloo.edu> Keywords: REFLEX, Utilities Sender: lcscigra@watserv1.waterloo.edu (BEST G - PHYSICS) Organization: University of Waterloo Date: Wed, 26 Sep 90 20:31:40 GMT Lines: 24 Greetings: Our research lab just got Reflex2 by Borland, and we're using it to store listings of journal papers. So far it works great; we copy the listings from the science citation index CD available from the library using a keyword search. Then we convert it into a reflex database. Nothing to it. Unfortunately, when we collect listings using different keywords we get a lot of overlap with our earlier searches, so a lot of duplicate listings end up on our Reflex database. This is getting to be a major annoyance. Our database contains about 1500 records, with one database for each year, so deleting them by hand is out of the question. So my question is: Does anyone know a quick way to delete duplicate records from a reflex database? Either a way from within Reflex2 or an external program would do. Thanks for help. I'll post anything that works. -- _____________________________________________________________________________ Garland Best | "It is for the blind that I grieve; for Dept. of Physics | their world is one without stars."
