Carnegie Mellon's Robotics Institute is a good choice.

I am a freshman student at CMU working in the Mobile Robotics Laboratory
of RI as a research student.  From work, I see many facets of robotics
being explored in the Institute.  There are many important projects
currently in development.  It is fascinating to be in such a place.  If
you are interested, you should send for information from the Robotics
Institute.
