The problem seems to appear in restobjchn which starts reading some garbage from the save file. This seems to occur when it is called from getlev for the first time. The end result is that the newobj define attempts to malloc some silly number of bytes like -123781903 and the game panics. Is there anyone who can shed some light on this? Please?
