Message-ID: <789@echocen.UUCP> Date: 22 Sep 90 04:24:10 GMT Distribution: usa Organization: echocen: private unix in Sterling Hgts, MI Lines: 17 I'm looking for a utility, C program or shell script that will take a set of files, greater than the size of the floppy, and put them on more than one floppy as free space on the floppies allow. I'm not talking about splitting the files across volumns, but calculating the best way to utilize the free space on the floppy. The files that are on the floppy are regular files, and the floppy has a regular file system on it, so that it can be mounted, 'ls'ed and 'cp'ed. In DOS they have a number of utilities that do this, but I have not seen one around on the net. Have you heard about one? Where could I find one? Thanks, Erik. -- Erik Ohrnberger Work: sharkey!edsews!edstip!ohrnb 2620 Woodchase Court Home: sharkey!eds.com!echocen!erik Sterling Heights, MI 48310
