We are starting a new project that will use state machines driven by
callbacks from the (Motif or character based) user interface. Before we
re-invent the wheel, does anyone have any pointers to some some good
state-machine code -- either as a "library" type function, or as part of
a larger package from which we can extract the appropriate modules?
